WILLOW CREEK, TX – Authorities are currently investigating a series of unsettling events following a staged “funeral” photo shoot in the remote Willow Creek area yesterday. The incident, involving local photographer Daniel Hayes and the surviving residents of the Miller family – the subject of the recently released sequel, *I Spit on Your Grave 2*, – has sparked outrage and raised serious questions about the ethics of documenting extreme violence.
According to preliminary reports, Hayes, who has worked extensively with the Miller family for the past six months, coordinated a meticulously planned event designed to recreate scenes from the film. The shoot, ostensibly intended to “capture the spirit of the community” and provide promotional material for local businesses, involved the recreation of the film’s infamous climax. Witnesses report that the event was set up in a secluded clearing near the Miller property, with several actors portraying the victims.
“It was… intense,” stated Martha Jenkins, owner of the Willow Creek General Store and one of the few residents who observed the event from a distance. “I saw the actors, they looked genuinely distressed. It was a horrible thing to witness, even from a distance. I wouldn’t have believed it was staged until I saw Daniel Hayes directing everything.”
The event culminated in a simulated act of violence, though the specifics remain shrouded in secrecy. Sheriff Brody confirmed that an investigation is underway, focusing on potential violations of Texas’s laws regarding staged violence and the unauthorized use of a minor’s likeness, given that one of the actors was a teenage boy.
“We’re looking into whether this event crossed a line,” Sheriff Brody stated during a press conference this morning. “The goal isn’t to punish Mr. Hayes, but to ensure that the safety and well-being of our community is protected. We’re also concerned about the potential psychological impact on those involved.”
Adding to the controversy, Silas Miller, the patriarch of the family and the film’s primary antagonist, reportedly made the following comment during a brief interview with reporters: “Let them have their pictures. Let them remember. It’s a reminder, isn’t it? A reminder of what happens when you cross the line.”
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the event to come forward.
