Prisoners Report Severe Trauma Following Intense Ice Bath Experiment

**Tokyo, Japan –** Authorities are investigating a disturbing incident within the confines of the clandestine “Devil’s Experiment” facility, located just outside of Osaka. Multiple prisoners have reported severe physical and psychological distress following a particularly brutal experimental procedure involving prolonged exposure to near-freezing water. The incident, captured on grainy surveillance footage, has raised serious questions about the ethical boundaries of the facility’s research and the well-being of its subjects.

According to preliminary reports, the experiment, designated “Protocol 734,” involved a group of eight prisoners being submerged in a large, reinforced tank filled with water maintained at approximately 32 degrees Fahrenheit (0 degrees Celsius). The duration of the exposure reportedly exceeded seven minutes, with prisoners subjected to increasingly intense electrical stimulation while underwater. Initial accounts suggest the purpose of the experiment was to assess the limits of human pain tolerance and the impact of extreme cold on the nervous system.

“It was…it was like my bones were trying to shatter,” recounted Hiroshi Tanaka, one of the prisoners involved. “The pain… it wasn’t just physical. It felt like my mind was being ripped apart. I kept seeing… things. Things I don’t want to remember.” Tanaka was immediately administered a sedative and placed under observation. Medical staff report he remains unresponsive and exhibiting symptoms consistent with acute trauma and potential neurological damage.

The facility director, Dr. Kenji Sato, issued a brief statement to local media, claiming the experiment was “within established parameters” and that the prisoners were fully informed of the risks involved. However, concerns are mounting given the severity of the reported outcomes.

“They were practically screaming,” reported a security guard, identified only as Mr. Ito, who witnessed the event from a monitoring station. “The equipment went haywire. The lights flickered. It was… unsettling. I’ve never seen anything like it.”

The incident has prompted an immediate internal review by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, and a formal request for an independent investigation. The long-term effects on the surviving prisoners remain uncertain, and questions are being raised about the overall legitimacy and morality of the “Devil’s Experiment” program. Further updates will be provided as they become available.
